Pest Alerts

Pest Alerts are short, informative summaries of weed, disease or insect pest threats. Typically North Central IPM Center alerts focus on pests that are invasive or have the potential to become invasive. Invasive pests expand populations and population range quickly. These factors influence a pest’s ability to become invasive: reproducing often, reaching reproductive maturity quickly, easily adapting to new environments, having the ability to disperse, outcompeting native species and/or having no natural predators in the new location.

The North Central IPM Center provides free pest alerts to help track, report and manage invasive pests. The list of available pest alerts is below. You may read the alerts online, download a pdf or request printed copies
