Southwestern Ohio Fruit, Vegetable & Specialty Crop Conference is Feb. 2

StrawberrySouthwestern Ohio Fruit, Vegetable & Specialty Crop Conference Feb. 2

Ohio State University Extension will hold the Southwestern Ohio Fruit, Vegetable and Specialty Crop Conference on Feb. 2, 2016 at the Oasis Conference Center in Loveland, Ohio. OSU Extension has organized a grower school for more than 30 years in Southwestern Ohio, but this conference will be different and bigger than in the past. The location was changed to a conference center, which allows us the space to offer more class options, including sessions on fruit, vegetables, greenhouses, specialty crops and marketing.

Pesticide applicator credits will be available for Core, Category 3 and Category 5. A fertilizer certification class focused on fruit & vegetable production will also be offered. The early registration deadline is Jan.y 23 and the cost is $50, which includes a continental breakfast, buffet lunch and a USB memory stick containing all of the available handouts. Online registration is available at this website. The event website with class descriptions can be found at this website. Questions can be directed to Greg Meyer at meyer.213@osu.edu or (513)695-1311.

The conference will be held at the Oasis Conference Center (902 Loveland Miamiville Road, Loveland OH 45140). It is located about 5 miles off of I-275 at the Wards Corner Road exit (Exit 54). For those of you planning to come in the day before, there is a hotel at the exit.
