On June 29, the Midwest Pesticide Action Center and Stop Pests for Housing will host a Protect Against Pests workshop to help you identify, monitor, and control bed bug infestations and other pest problems. This workshop caters to managers of multi-unit housing, shelters and transitional housing, senior housing, and client service providers.
The workshop, to be held at the Wojcik Conference Center at Harper College in Palatine, IL, will feature Dr. Dini Miller of Virginia Tech University, a prominent bed bug expert. This workshop offers a rare opportunity to hear Dr. Miller’s insight into the most important strategies for preventing the spread of bed bugs. Other notable experts speaking at the event include Ruth Kerzee, Executive Director of the Midwest Pesticide Action Center, Mike Swoyer, Supervisor of Rat Control for Kansas City, and Bryan Nichols, Operations Manager at Advanced Maintenance and Pest Solutions. A presentation on how to contract with a pest control professional will round out this comprehensive workshop.
