NIFA announces FY 2017 Crop Protection and Pest Management Program (CPPM) RFA

The National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) is pleased to announce the release of the FY 2017 Crop Protection and Pest Management Program (CPPM) Request for Applications (RFA). NIFA is requesting applications for the Applied Research and Development Program (ARDP) and the Extension Implementation Program (EIP) areas of the CPPM program in this solicitation. NIFA will request continuation applications for the CPPM Regional Coordination Program (RCP) area in a separate RFA.

The CPPM program supports projects that will increase food security and respond effectively to major pest management societal challenges with comprehensive IPM approaches that are economically viable, ecologically prudent, and safe for human health. The CPPM program addresses pest management challenges with new and emerging technologies. The outcomes of the CPPM program are effective, affordable, and environmentally sound IPM practices and strategies supporting more vital communities.

 Application Deadline:  May 9, 2017
