Cooperation between the Regional IPM Centers benefits all

One of the objectives the Regional Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Centers share isCoverthumb increasing cooperation between the four regions to boost all efforts to promote the development, adoption and evaluation of integrated pest management.

One excellent example of that cooperation can be seen in a joint workgroup involving the Western IPM Center and North Central IPM Center. The new Midwestern and Western Weather Work Group brings together researchers from both regions working on weather-based decision support tools for growers. The joint work group will assess gaps in the current tools, evaluating the potential for harmonizing the currently available onlne tools and develop a joint funding proposal to expand and improve the systems.

The project is highlighted in the Western IPM Center’s 2014-15 Report, available now at www.westernipm.org.
