USDA announces soybean research position

The USDA announces they have a USDA-Agricultural Research Service position to support Job Opportunityresearch on the utilization of the perennial Glycine species in soybean breeding open.  “We have successfully developed fertile progenies from a cross between soybean and one accession of one perennial Glycine species (G. tomentella).  Lines developed from this cross have proven to have many interesting characteristics from a basic genetics perspective and for application to a soybean breeding program.  Attempts to use other accessions of the same species and other species have been unsuccessful to date. We are looking for a B.S. or preferably an M.S. level person to help develop new protocols in tissue culture and plant regeneration to support this unique research program.  This is a full-time, permanent position.  The official announcement is at”
