Lake Erie Regional Grape Program seeks Viticulture Support Specialist

The Lake Erie Regional Grape Program has an opening for a Viticulture Support Specialist with their 4 person extension team. 

The Lake Erie Regional Grape Program (LERGP) was formed to work with the 30,000 acre commercial grape industry in the Lake Erie grape region in New York and Pennsylvania. The purpose of this position is to provide commercial grape growers/producers with the knowledge and resources necessary to assess production and management practices that will enhance their profitability and sustain the growth of the juice and wine grape industry in the Lake Erie region.

This is a full time position and will be located at the new, state of the art, Cornell Lake Erie Research and Extension Laboratory in Portland, NY.

Minimum requirements for the position are a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from an accredited institution with a major in Viticulture, Horticulture, or closely associated field and 2+ years of relevant work experience in Agribusiness, Crop Production, Cooperative Extension, or closely related fields, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
