The National Defense Science & Engineering Graduate Fellowship Program (NDSEG) supports US citizens & nationals who are pursuing doctorates in select STEM fields and conducting research on topics relevant to national defense. Fellowships offer three years of support, including a $34,000 annual stipend along with full coverage of tuition and mandatory fees.
To qualify, students must have completed less than two full-time years of graduate studies in the discipline in which they are applying. Eligible disciplines include Aeronautical/Astronautical Engineering, Biosciences, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Cognitive/Neural/Behavioral Sciences, Computer/Computational Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Geosciences, Materials Science & Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering, Oceanography, and Physics.
